Welcome to Laverstock and Ford Parish Council
Laverstock and Ford is a civil parish within Wiltshire unitary authority
Laverstock & Ford Parish Council makes decisions on behalf of the people in the parish and has an overall responsibility for the well-being of its local community. It is the level of government closest to the community, with the Wiltshire Council above it in the hierarchy. The parish is formed of the villages of Laverstock, Ford, and the communities of Bishopdown Farm (Hampton Park and Riverdown Park), Old Sarum, Longhedge and part of Milford. The parish council serves a growing number of households and incorporates a large area of open space including the Castle Hill Country Park, Whitebridge Spinney, Old Sarum Skate Park, land at River Bourne Community Farm and Cockey Downs in Laverstock. The parish has a number of public trails and footpaths within its area and water meadows alongside the river Bourne which flows through the parish. Join members of Smash Youth Project for autumn sessions of Youth Club for ages 10 to 18 years at Old Sarum & Longhedge Community Centre every other Monday in term-time from 6 - 7.30 pm. If you haven't been before and want to see if it's for you - pop along at the start of the session and say hello.
